Barclays Bank offers greater convenience to its SME and Motshelo groups customers with dedicated online services.
Barclays Bank of Botswana is excited to introduce a new online banking service for SMEs and Motshelo groups. This platform was created with SMEs and Motshelo groups in mind from a functionality and access perspective. Previously, SME customers were using Barclays Integrator to transact online, a service mainly designed for corporate clients.
We are the first bank to recognise and offer a bespoke account for Motshelo groups. The bank recognised the complexities of banking as a group, that members are not always together though the group business has to go on and the bulk of that work includes transactional banking.
The new online banking platform will allow customers and clients to; add and pay beneficiaries, check their balance, request mini statements, transfer funds between accounts, pay bills, assign login credentials to employees and members.
“We are always looking at ways to meet the needs of our customers through relevant products and services. One such area identified is the need for a seamless, convenient and interactive online banking platform made specifically for our SMEs clients.” commented Keletso Setimela, Head of SME at Barclays Bank of Botswana.
The platform’s introduction comes as part of the Bank’s focus to be a digitally led and inclusive financial service provider. The bank continues to make significant investment on upgrading and introducing new digital banking channels across all its segments as a way to support customer’s banking experience in a meaningful, dynamic and relevant way.
Consideration has been made for clients to generate their PINs for their accounts whilst the bank continues to upgrade the online banking platform with the latest security to give customers assurance and peace of mind.
