Nelson Mandela Centennial Scholarship Programme | Apply by 15 June 2018

In partnership with the African Leadership University (ALU), the Graça Machel Trust and the Mandela Institute of Development Studies (MINDS) the Mandela Centennial Scholarship Programme has been established to empower young leaders in Africa.

As part of our commitment to the provision of quality education across the continent BAGL has agreed to support 50 of the 100 fully funded Bachelor Degree scholarships that will be offered at the Rwanda campus of the African Leadership University, commencing September 2018. This will give our youth the opportunity to become part of the next generation of African Leaders, continuing in the spirit of Madiba’s legacy.

Candidates for this scholarship will be recruited and selected through the ALU admissions process with input and advice from the Graca Machel Trust and Mandela Institute for Development Studies. The beneficiaries of the scholarships will be youth across the continent between the ages of 18-23 who have demonstrated leadership potential and have expressed interest in studying at ALU for 2018.

Any interested candidates must apply before or on 15 June 2018 for the 2018/2019 academic year. For more information visit to apply. No late applications will be accepted.
